Research: I am currently investigating the origin and evolution of oxygen-dependent enzymes. Using genetic data from extant organisms, I am creating large single-gene trees and analyzing them, looking for transfer and loss events over time. This will allow me to understand more about the deep history of oxygen on earth, and microbial adaption to oxygen.
